Harlequins 27 University 42 (10/05/08)

Harlequins brief reign at the top of the state-wide rugby ladder came to an end when they were beaten 42 - 27 by Uni.
Quins were never able to match the enthusiasm of a committed University pack. Uni's backs accounted for all seven tries, but coach mark Pahina said the forwards did the work.
Best for University were flanker Patrick Hatch, Prop Ellis Cox and winger Eric Ferrone.

Taroona 24 University 12 (3/05/2008)

Taroona seemed headed for a big win when it charged to a 19 0 lead against university at rugby park. But in a scrappy, error ridden second half Taroona went off the boil and allowed university to add some respectability to the score.
Disappointed Taroona coach said his side lost discipline in the second half and gave away too many unnecessary penalties.
University was best served by flanker Matt Dunkerly, Lock Steve Hosey and Luke Jones.

Despite the papers' view University with the wind behind them Improved dramatically in the second half and the final score of 24 to 12 flattered Taroona.
